- Rich legacy of trusted customer service for over 8 Decades – Founded in 1939.
- Pioneered automobile spare parts trade in South India through Popular Automobiles in 1944, which went on to become India’s largest spare parts retailer and a household name. Clientele included Bollywood Stars, Maharajas and customers from entire South India.
- Popular Garage, another Group Company launched in 1960, pioneered automobile engine rebuilding activity in the country.
- First ever Maruti Suzuki Dealership in Kerala was Popular Vehicles and Services Ltd (PVSL), under Kuttukaran Group, in 1984 at Thiruvananthapuram. Over the last 4 decades, PVSL has expanded across Kerala and in Chennai and Bangalore as well.
- Kuttukaran Institute for HRD (KIHRD), an institute for in-house vocational training, founded in 1983, was the first of its kind in the automotive industry. Later on KIHRD opened its doors to the public too, offering a host of courses related to automobile, management and other subjects. Expanded operations further with Kuttukaran Polytechnic College and its Diploma courses in various engineering disciplines.
- Forayed in to Commercial vehicle retailing with Popular Mega Motors India (Pvt.) Ltd. in 1997. Added Bharat Benz into the portfolio of products later on.
- Car segment added Honda Cars and the iconic Jaguar and Land Rover under the umbrella of Kuttukaran.
- Kuttukaran is in the forefront in the Electric Vehicle segment too, adding Ather and Piaggio Ape Electrik to its range of products.
- Started in-house centres exclusively for Bodyshop Training, a first of its kind initiative among automobile dealers.
- The charity wing of the Group, K. P. Paul Foundation, started in memory of the Late Founder, empowers women to take up entrepreneurship and be job providers to other women as well.
